 past  21 years ago, a powerful pirate by the name of Whitebeard came across an island in the north blue to search for hidden treasures. the villagers on the remote island commented that there were already pirates pillaging the island, robbing them of everything they own and doing whatever they wanted. enraged by this, whitebeard and his crew defeated and driven the pirates away and brought peace back to the village by taking the island under one of his territories.
seeing if the defeated pirates left anything of value, whitebeard stumbled upon an unusually shaped trunk inside of a remote cave close to the village's beach. to his surprise, he found an abandoned infant inside, crying the moment the sunlight had woken her up.
the baby was taken in by whitebeard and his crew back to his ship, the moby dick. she was given affection, food, shelter and protection by the crew, who saw the child as a source of joy. Overtime, the baby grew into a healthy child who had been raised with love from 'the strongest father' and her 'hundreds of siblings'. She was taught how to navigate the seas as well as learn the importance of strength, solidarity and family. present  8 years ago in the new world, at the age of 15, eirlys ate a slightly transparent-looking devil fruit that resembled a droplet. This was the water-water fruit. she gained the power to turn herself into water. while she struggles trying to manipulate the surrounding water, she still attempts to use her skills for offense.
despite being able to defend herself against normal rabble, eirlys is usually never put on frontline battles. as much to her dismay, she's treated with more delicacy just because she's one of whitebeard's youngest daughters.She's usually seen in the infirmary learning about medicine or in the middle of the deck scolding her father for not taking his medicine and sickness seriously.
